ashes within you (2026)

ashes within you is the second film to emerge from an ongoing collaboration with Peles Duo. Based on the image of the goddess Cybelle, the film centres on the sculpture’s return to the earth. Through its burial, the sculpture undergoes a kind of reverse archaeology, disappearing beneath the soil. In a long take, our eyes meet Cybelle’s as her gaze slowly recedes into the distance, leaving a trace of what has disappeared.
